Welcome to Class 3G's first blog entry! It's almost Christmas and it's been a fantastic term so far. Here are some photos of things we've been doing in class this term.

We made paper snowflakes using normal paper and some excellent folding skills. They can be seen hanging in our classroom and will soon be sent home for the children to enjoy over Christmas. More Christmas crafts to come!

In literacy we've been reading James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. Towards the end of the book the characters end their travels and reach New York City. The children wrote postcards from New York and used water colours and black card to create a city skyline in Art. |
As part of our Peach project we made textured peaches in art using paper plates and tissue paper. |
Our first assembly of the year was in November and we decided to take a look at Fireworks. Here are the Fireworks shape poems we created. |
Every week we choose a different language to say the register in e.g. "Namaste Jaime", "Namaste Miss Gonzalez" |
Here are some of the languages we've covered: Romanian, Italian, Japanese, Turkish, Chinese and many more! It's great knowing how to say "Good Morning" in all these languages! Ideas for new languages are very much welcomed! |
Presenting Larry the Lion, our class mascot and dear friend! Whoever has the most personal points on a Friday gets to take Larry home. |
Class 3G made this list of rules for treating each other with respect and kindness in class. All children signed it as a promise they would stick to the rules at all times. |
At the start of the year we made self portraits in Art using a photo of half of our faces. |
